WHAT BLOSSM IS FOR?

Plants and Accessories

Blossm is the marketplace for plants, accessories, growing mediums, amendments, seeds, fungi, fertilizers, select tools and planty art, decor, jewelry and clothing. Full plants, clippings and imported plants are allowed. If imported, please include the import date and properly acclimate your plants. And remember, propagation and sharing with your friends is half the fun!

Build your Beautiful Blossm Shop

Posting your items to Blossm is simple and easy. We encourage you to take extra steps on taking good pictures of your plant babies, making sure to fill out all the categories and include as much relevant information as possible in the description. The item should be clearly represented in the main photo. Make sure this is an actual photo of the plant in your possession. No one likes to be misled and later find out it’s a stock photo.

Successful Transactions

If you accept an offer from a buyer, you must complete the sale. This means, once the buyer has hit the "Buy Now" button and successfully submitted their payment and shipping information, you are expected to send the item they purchased. We understand that honest mistakes happen, but canceled transactions create confusion and disappointment for your buyers. We expect that our community members will be respectful of each other and fulfill their transactions with each other.

Being a Trustworthy Seller

One of the best things about Blossm is that posting is completely free. When creating a listing, please be honest in describing your item and disclose as much information as possible. Take care to be thorough and accurate about details such as the condition, growing environment, if it’s imported, and include photos that showcase variegation, unique species attributes, roots, cosmetic damage etc. This way, buyers know exactly what it is that they are getting and the risk of a dispute is decreased.

Clear & Accurate Shipping

As a seller, you must ship the purchased item to your buyer in a timely fashion. Most sellers will ship only on Mondays & Tuesdays to avoid packages being delayed over the weekend. These are living things after all and it is important proper shipping practices are used. Most sellers ship within a week, unless there is extreme hot or cold weather.

When shipping, make sure you do not use soil. Plants should be shipped bare root and covered with moss or a similar alternative. There are clear USDA regulations against shipping items in soil across state lines due to soil-borne pathogens. Give you package the “shake test.” If its moving around, then it is not ready to ship. You can tape your plant down inside the package and fill in the empty space with bubble wrap, newspaper, and lots of “polyfil.” Polyfil is a great material to use to keep the leaves intact and prevent any movement during the shipment process.

Communicate the shipping carriers you use and the different options. It is possible a buyer will want to upgrade their shipping to express/overnight to ensure their plant arrives in perfect condition. It is also up to the discretion of the seller to make the appropriate call on when to ship. If the weather isn’t looking ideal, communicate to the buyer that you recommend either waiting for better weather or to upgrade their shipping. This will prevent disputes and ensure everyone has a happy experience!

Being a Good Buyer

Great sellers always deserve quick payment. Therefore, as a buyer, you must confirm that you've received and reviewed your purchase within three days after delivery. If you do not do so within three days, the order will be accepted on your behalf automatically and the funds will be released to the seller.

Thorough Communication

We strongly encourage buyers and sellers to thoroughly communicate before, during, and after each transaction. As a buyer, if you have questions about quality, condition, or variegation that are not addressed in the listing, it's best to ask before purchasing the item so you know what you'll be receiving. As a seller, answering questions on your listings can lead to your next sale. It's also courteous to keep your buyer informed regarding the shipping status.

Bundles

The only thing better than selling something is selling multiple things! For this reason we encourage Blossmrs to make use of bundling to make more money as sellers and save more as buyers.
